Spring Greetings to all Our IWCM Members and Friends!

I am so excited to join Nazli Ulker as your new Co-President!  Spring is the time for renewal, and so it can also be for our group of approximately 120 women who make up this International Women's Club of Moldova.  Though we don't all get together at the same time every month, we are a small, strong community of women, with many different IWCM activities to choose from that allow us to get to know one another better, learn from each another and about the city and country we are currently living in, and through IWCM's charitable work, give a little back to that community!

We have many special interest groups, such as our playgroup for Mom's ‘n tots, Mah Jong, an afternoon Book Club, a cooking group, just to name a few.  We have an active Grants Committee that meets each month, working diligently on behalf of our organization to find viable ways to distribute the results of our fund-raising efforts to those in Moldova with the greatest needs.  We can stand proud at the fund-raising task so well-done with our annual Winter Holiday Bazaar and Spring Night of Art.  And finally, we offer monthly meetings which bring us together on the first Tuesday evening of each month, sometimes with speakers, sometimes with reports on our committees, and always with a fun social hour to mix it up with each other while nibbling on the Leogrand's yummy tidbits that are offered!

But now is not the time to sit back and let our club drift along!  My goal for this upcoming year is to not necessarily increase membership levels, but rather, to help us channel a new excitement into our group.  New ideas, new activity groups, whatever ideas YOU, the members, can come up with, your IWCM Executive board, headed by me and Nazli, we will help put your ideas and energy into motion.  Let's work together to make this a Springtime renewal for IWCM!!!
